Week 7!

WE DID IT!

It was the busiest week of the year so far and we made it through :) Thank you all so much for making this crazy week so fun!

Post Family Farms was fun (and dry!) for both classes, and grandparents day was a success! (Here's a video from our practice on Wednesday of the poem we did for the Grandparent's program!)



Looking forward to next week, in October our theme is going to be: Fall. This will include things like pumpkins, fall creatures, leaves... anything that might have to do with lovely time of year! One classroom request that we have is for some pumpkins (big and small) for our classroom! We will be using pumpkins all month long for various activities, so if you and your family are picking up pumpkins and would like to pick one up for our class, we would greatly appreciate it!

Thank you all again for a fantastic week! It was lots of fun, but I will say that I am looking forward to a calm week though :)

 Hello Families!  We made it through our first week of school! We had SO much fun getting to know your students and teaching them some of our routines! In these next couple of weeks I am sure some of our friends will still feel some big emotions as they get used to the routine of coming to school. This is totally normal and we will keep giving lots of hugs and lots of encouragement!  Next week we will keep learning our school routines, and we will take our first field trip! On Wednesday we will get on a bus and head to the High School for our all School convocation.  Hello Families!  This week we had fun celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month with Maestra Fernandez's class! Throughout the year we will take a few opportunities to learn from our Spanish Immersion friends about some Latino culture and traditions!  We also went to the library for the first time this week! We talked about how we will let the kids borrow a book this week, and then they can bring it back and get a new one! There is a blue bin on the little table outside of my classroom labeled "library books". You may put your library books in there at any time! There is a limit of 6 books out at one time. If you have 6 out at once I will print out a list of the books you have at your house and send it home with your student so you know which books you're looking for.  Next week we will see you at Post Family Farm on Monday!  Hello Families!  Time is flying! We had lots of fun this week doing some cool experiments like color mixing! We will continue to enjoy our last few days together as we have lots of fun at all our events coming up!  Monday (the 26th): OFF for Memorial Day !  Wednesday (the 28th): Normal Day of Class Thursday (the 29th): Preschool Park Playdate! We will be hopping on a bus at 9 and heading over to Windstrom Park! You are welcome to meet us there and hang out! We will head back to school around 10:15. I am still looking for someone to bring popsicles for our class! Let me know if you'd be willing to bring some for us, either in the morning at drop off or to the park!  Monday (the 2nd): Our Preschool Brunch!
