Hello Families!

We had such a fun week talking about family! Theres some new decoration up in our room with our family pictures if you want to stop in and come look :)

This week we are going to start talking about Thanksgiving and what being thankful means! We will also talk about turkeys and how we need to be thankful for all the blessings God has given us in our lives.



THINGS TO KNOW:
Thanksgiving Parties Next Week:
Our parties will be on the 26th and 27th next week! Please remember you snack to share (just a small zip lock). There are NO allergy restrictions :)

 Label Snow Clothes:
Please Label your child's snow clothes! There are lots of snow pants and mitten sets that all look the same :)

Hope College Youth Days:
Saturday, Nov 23 --- Hope College Men's Basketball vs Anderson University
3 PM at the DeVos Fieldhouse
Stop in the office for a flyer to get into the game free! After the game, team posters will be handed out to all youth in attendance. Fans will have the opportunity to receive autographs from the Flying Dutch on the court! Questions - contact the Hope Collect ticket office or tickets@hope.edu Hope to see you there!

Our First Week!

 Hello Families!  We made it through our first week of school! We had SO much fun getting to know your students and teaching them some of our routines! In these next couple of weeks I am sure some of our friends will still feel some big emotions as they get used to the routine of coming to school. This is totally normal and we will keep giving lots of hugs and lots of encouragement!  Next week we will keep learning our school routines, and we will take our first field trip! On Wednesday we will get on a bus and head to the High School for our all School convocation. If possible, please drop your child off by 8:20 so we can get to the bus on time.  Things To Know:  Walk-a-thon T-shirt: There is a QR code outside of my room to sign up your student for a walk-a-thon t shirt.  Hello Families!  This week we had fun celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month with Maestra Fernandez's class! Throughout the year we will take a few opportunities to learn from our Spanish Immersion friends about some Latino culture and traditions!  We also went to the library for the first time this week! We talked about how we will let the kids borrow a book this week, and then they can bring it back and get a new one! There is a blue bin on the little table outside of my classroom labeled "library books". You may put your library books in there at any time! There is a limit of 6 books out at one time. If you have 6 out at once I will print out a list of the books you have at your house and send it home with your student so you know which books you're looking for.  Next week we will see you at Post Family Farm on Monday!  Hello Families!  Time is flying! We had lots of fun this week doing some cool experiments like color mixing! We will continue to enjoy our last few days together as we have lots of fun at all our events coming up!  Monday (the 26th): OFF for Memorial Day !  Wednesday (the 28th): Normal Day of Class Thursday (the 29th): Preschool Park Playdate! We will be hopping on a bus at 9 and heading over to Windstrom Park! You are welcome to meet us there and hang out! We will head back to school around 10:15. I am still looking for someone to bring popsicles for our class! Let me know if you'd be willing to bring some for us, either in the morning at drop off or to the park!  Monday (the 2nd): Our Preschool Brunch!
