Week 23

Hi Families! 
We had a fun week talking about love and hearts! Lot's of my friends enjoyed making hearts with colored paper and watercolor painting! They are also very excited for Valentines Day next week! 

Next week we will keep talking about hearts and valentines! 
Progress Reports:
I realized Wednesday night that the progress reports were still in my bag at home. I'm sorry they didn't come home when expected! This week they will for sure go home Monday and Tuesday! 

 Valentines Day:
Please remember to send your child with valentines on Wednesday and Thursday next week! My Monday/Wednesday friends have 18 in their class and my Tuesday/Thursday friends have 10 in their class! Please remember to NOT fill out the "To" section! I would love the kids to write who it's from, but writing who it's too take a long time to pass out :)

 No School:
Just a heads up that we do not have school on Monday, February 17 for winter break! 
Lost and Found
Our lost and found treasures are overflowing!  Please take a moment and peek to see if your child has something on the table.  ALL ITEMS left on the lost and found table will be brought to Ditto on during our Winter Break, Friday, February 14.

Our First Week!

 Hello Families!  We made it through our first week of school! We had SO much fun getting to know your students and teaching them some of our routines! In these next couple of weeks I am sure some of our friends will still feel some big emotions as they get used to the routine of coming to school. This is totally normal and we will keep giving lots of hugs and lots of encouragement!  Next week we will keep learning our school routines, and we will take our first field trip! On Wednesday we will get on a bus and head to the High School for our all School convocation. If possible, please drop your child off by 8:20 so we can get to the bus on time.  Things To Know:  Walk-a-thon T-shirt: There is a QR code outside of my room to sign up your student for a walk-a-thon t shirt.  Hello Families!  Time is flying! We had lots of fun this week doing some cool experiments like color mixing! We will continue to enjoy our last few days together as we have lots of fun at all our events coming up!  Monday (the 26th): OFF for Memorial Day !  Wednesday (the 28th): Normal Day of Class Thursday (the 29th): Preschool Park Playdate! We will be hopping on a bus at 9 and heading over to Windstrom Park! You are welcome to meet us there and hang out! We will head back to school around 10:15. I am still looking for someone to bring popsicles for our class! Let me know if you'd be willing to bring some for us, either in the morning at drop off or to the park!  Monday (the 2nd): Our Preschool Brunch!  Hello Families!  This week we talked about some spring-time things and made the best of our rainy day by reading Cloudy With A Chance of Meatball and talking about what foods we want it to rain!  Next week we will be talking about Tulip Time and some Dutch things like windmills and wooden shoes!  From Rose Park: Library Books:   This week was the last week for students to borrow books from the Rose Park Library.  All student library materials are due by May 9. I sent home a list of all the books that your student has checked out so you can look for them over the weekend! If you need me to reprint your list, let me know! Plant Sale: The annual fourth grade plant sale is coming to Rose Park on May 21 starting at 7:30am.  They will be selling tomatoes, peppers, and a variety of herbs.  All plants will be $3.00 per pot, cash or check only.  Mark your calendars!
