Back to School! Week 1

Hello Families!

We made it through week 1! It was hot, but it was so good to be in school again! Your students are starting to come out of their shells, and we have been having lots of fun together! This week and next week we will be going through all of the tools we use often in class and each center, learning the rules and how to properly use everything in our classroom!

Normally this blog comes out over the weekend, but I was waiting for some information about Convocation to come out. I still haven't received that information, so I will send my Monday/Wednesday friends a separate email as soon as I get more information about our little field trip on Wednesday. Most of the time though, you can plan on this blog on Friday or Saturday!

Things to Know:

Snacks: The snacks for preschool are delivered to our room each morning, so you don't need to grab a snack on your way in!

Lunches: If you order a to-go lunch bag, they will always be on the cart in the hallway by Door D so grab as many as you ordered in the morning on your way out!

Potty Training: I forgot to mention this at parent night, but our facilities at school are not licensed to allow me to change students who have accidents. If a student has a #1 accident, I will give them wipes and help them as best as I can with changing, but they have to be pretty independent. If a student has a #2 accident I do have to call someone else to come and change them. I will make them as comfortable as possible as they wait for you to come, but legally I can not change them. If your student is struggling going #2 in the bathroom, it would be helpful to give me a list of numbers I can call. We just want to make sure your student can be changed as quickly as possible! If your student needs a potty chart in the room, or rewards, we are more than happy to have them at school!

New Students: My Tuesday/Thursday class is getting 2 new students! We are very excited for them to join us on Thursday! One of the students does have a peanut and tree nut allergy. If you pack a snack for your student, please do your best to not pack anything with peanuts or tree nuts! Also, if you bring in a food birthday treat, please include a copy of the ingredients list, just so we can make sure it is safe for this student!

Every week I will include pictures from our week so you can see what's going on in our class!
