Week 4

 Hello Families! 

We had a fantastic week last week, learning and having fun at the walk-a-thon! This week we are continuing to build on our skills and rules in the classroom! We also are going to start talking about good choices vs. sad choices and how to be a good friend.


Things to Know:

Post Family Farms: Next week Monday and Tuesday is our field trip to Post Family Farms! Please arrive to the farm at 9am and bring 3 dollars per adult to cover the cost of the trip. An adult must accompany your child for the whole morning (if you need to, you may ask another family if they will watch your child along with their own). We will spend the whole morning outside, so dress appropriately for the weather! No need to bring a snack, we will have donuts all together! If your student is in enrichment on Monday/Tuesday you can bring them back to school at 11:45 (to make sure the teacher have time to get back and welcome them to school)

Purple Shirts: Your child came home with a purple shirt either last week or today! Please hold on to this shirt, because we will all wear it at out spring program this year! 

Picture Retakes: Retake day is Wednesday, October 27. You will have a chance to see your pictures before this day. If you would like a retake and you are in my Monday/Wednesday class, we can take your student throughout the morning. If you are in my Tuesday/Thursday class, there will be a time slot for you to swing by (I will let you know what time when we get closer).

Our First Week!

 Hello Families!  We made it through our first week of school! We had SO much fun getting to know your students and teaching them some of our routines! In these next couple of weeks I am sure some of our friends will still feel some big emotions as they get used to the routine of coming to school. This is totally normal and we will keep giving lots of hugs and lots of encouragement!  Next week we will keep learning our school routines, and we will take our first field trip! On Wednesday we will get on a bus and head to the High School for our all School convocation. If possible, please drop your child off by 8:20 so we can get to the bus on time.  Things To Know:  Walk-a-thon T-shirt: There is a QR code outside of my room to sign up your student for a walk-a-thon t shirt.  Hello Families!  This week we had fun celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month with Maestra Fernandez's class! Throughout the year we will take a few opportunities to learn from our Spanish Immersion friends about some Latino culture and traditions!  We also went to the library for the first time this week! We talked about how we will let the kids borrow a book this week, and then they can bring it back and get a new one! There is a blue bin on the little table outside of my classroom labeled "library books". You may put your library books in there at any time! There is a limit of 6 books out at one time. If you have 6 out at once I will print out a list of the books you have at your house and send it home with your student so you know which books you're looking for.  Next week we will see you at Post Family Farm on Monday!  Hello Families!  Time is flying! We had lots of fun this week doing some cool experiments like color mixing! We will continue to enjoy our last few days together as we have lots of fun at all our events coming up!  Monday (the 26th): OFF for Memorial Day !  Wednesday (the 28th): Normal Day of Class Thursday (the 29th): Preschool Park Playdate! We will be hopping on a bus at 9 and heading over to Windstrom Park! You are welcome to meet us there and hang out! We will head back to school around 10:15. I am still looking for someone to bring popsicles for our class! Let me know if you'd be willing to bring some for us, either in the morning at drop off or to the park!  Monday (the 2nd): Our Preschool Brunch!
