Week 12

Hello Families!  We had a very fun time starting our tree study this week! We will look at what foods come from trees starting next week which will take us to Thanksgiving!  With the cold weather now here, we are going to start practicing putting on all of our snow gear independently at school. If you could practice at home, that would be super helpful! At school we teach students "the magic coat flip" which is laying the coat on the ground with the hood (or tags if there is no hood) by their feet, then putting their hands in the arm holes and flipping it over their head. If you prefer to have them put it on a different way, that is totally fine :) I just like to let you all know so there's no confusion at home if you say put your coat on and your student puts there coat on the floor! Independence in putting their snow gear on is something we will be working on all winter long!  Things to Know: Child Information Sheets: This week I will touch base with the families...

Week 11

Hello Families! We finished our learning about the 5 sense this week with a taste test that made everyone happy :) Next week we will be beginning our tree study! We will begin by exploring quite a bit outside and looking at all the trees we can, so make sure your student comes dressed warmly!  Things to Know: Apples: During our study of trees, we will be making applesauce as a class! Please bring in an apple (any kind at all) sometime during this coming week!  Child Information Sheets: If you haven't returned your child information sheet yet, please do so as soon as you can! If you have lost your first copy, let me know and I can get you another!  Scholastics: If you would still like to place an order for books, try to do so by tomorrow! Remember to use our class code so we can get to buy books for our class!  Here are our pictures from this week:
