Christmas Week 1
Hello Families!
This week we began to talk about Christmas! We talked about how Christmas is about Jesus' birthday and that he came to earth because he loves us so much. We also got to talk about how we celebrate Christmas here in America and how other people around the world celebrate Christmas. We talked about the Netherlands and how kids leave their shoes by the fire place at night, and when they wake up they have presents in them!
Next week Monday and Tuesday we will talk about La Posadas, which is a latino tradition celebrating Christmas! My Tuesday/Thursday friends are going to celebrate with our Maestra Rodriguez's Spanish immersion friends as they teach us about this tradition! My Monday friends will have Maestra stop in and talk about it too!
On Wednesday and Thursday we will have our class Christmas party! It will be lot's of fun and I am excited to celebrate with them. This has truly been such a fun first semester and I am excited to celebrate your students and all the hard work they have put in to their learning!
Snow Gear: Please remember to send your students with snow pants, boots, a warm winter coat, hats, and mittens! We love going out and playing in the snow!
Christmas Break: This years break is from December 20-January 2. We return to learning on January 3! If you are going to still be out of town or traveling please let me know!
