Grandparents Day and This Week

 Hello Families!

We had SO much fun these past two weeks! It was so fun to invite our grandparents into our space and show them how we learn at school! We also had lot's of fun this week talking about spring and families! We will continue our spring learning and talk about plants and sunshine this week!

The end of the school year is quickly approaching! There will be lots going on, so make sure that you are up to date on all of the activities! 


Things to Know/Dates:

Tulip Time: Tulip Time will be here soon! For those of you who have students in enrichment, there will be no enrichment on Wednesday the 11th or Thursday the 12th due to the half days at school!

Tentative Picnic Party: On May 26 we are tentatively planning on having an all preschool picnic party at the outdoor playscape at window on the waterfront during the morning school time. (This will be dependent on us getting a bus, we will know for sure by next week hopefully!) We are planning on everyone getting on a bus and driving over to the playground all together and then getting on a bus and all heading back to school together. If you would like to come and meet us at the park, you are more than welcome to! For my Monday/Wednesday friends, if you would like to meet us there and hang out with us, we would love to have you!

End of Year Celebration: June 1 & 2 will be our official last days of school and there will be celebrations! We will be (hopefully) outside having a "beach party!" Plan on sending your student with a towel and a swimsuit! We will be having popsicles, playing in some water and celebrating the year of school that we have been able to spend together!

 Hello Families!  This week we had fun celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month with Maestra Fernandez's class! Throughout the year we will take a few opportunities to learn from our Spanish Immersion friends about some Latino culture and traditions!  We also went to the library for the first time this week! We talked about how we will let the kids borrow a book this week, and then they can bring it back and get a new one! There is a blue bin on the little table outside of my classroom labeled "library books". You may put your library books in there at any time! There is a limit of 6 books out at one time. If you have 6 out at once I will print out a list of the books you have at your house and send it home with your student so you know which books you're looking for.  Next week we will see you at Post Family Farm on Monday! Week 38

 Hello Families!  Time is flying! We had lots of fun this week doing some cool experiments like color mixing! We will continue to enjoy our last few days together as we have lots of fun at all our events coming up!  Monday (the 26th): OFF for Memorial Day !  Wednesday (the 28th): Normal Day of Class Thursday (the 29th): Preschool Park Playdate! We will be hopping on a bus at 9 and heading over to Windstrom Park! You are welcome to meet us there and hang out! We will head back to school around 10:15. I am still looking for someone to bring popsicles for our class! Let me know if you'd be willing to bring some for us, either in the morning at drop off or to the park!  Monday (the 2nd): Our Preschool Brunch!  Hello Families!  This week we talked about some spring-time things and made the best of our rainy day by reading Cloudy With A Chance of Meatball and talking about what foods we want it to rain!  Next week we will be talking about Tulip Time and some Dutch things like windmills and wooden shoes!  From Rose Park: Library Books:   This week was the last week for students to borrow books from the Rose Park Library.  All student library materials are due by May 9. I sent home a list of all the books that your student has checked out so you can look for them over the weekend! If you need me to reprint your list, let me know! Plant Sale: The annual fourth grade plant sale is coming to Rose Park on May 21 starting at 7:30am.  They will be selling tomatoes, peppers, and a variety of herbs.  All plants will be $3.00 per pot, cash or check only.  Mark your calendars!
