 Hello Families! 

Last week we had fun practicing our names, mixing colors and playing in some sensory water tubs! This week we will be looking at shadows and some more fun sensory water activities! 


Our dates again, in case you missed them!

End of Year Dates/Parties: 

May 24 & 25: This will be my last day with the students so we will be celebrating with a PJ Day! Again, students are welcome to wear their jammies, and bring in a stuffed animal or blanket to spend the day with! 

May 26: All preschool picnic at Window on the Waterfront. The students who are at school will be bussed to the outdoor play scape. You are all welcome to join us if you would like to come and socialize! My Monday/Wednesday friends are more than welcome to come and meet us there and join in the fun! 

June 1 & 2: These are our official last days of school. The students will be having a beach day party with Miss Hulst! Please send your students with a beach towel and any beach attire they want to wear! They have lot's of fun celebrating our year and bringing in summer together :)


From Rose Park:

Book Sale: May 18-20 is our book sale! The book sale will be open after class, so if you would like to head down to the library and check it out, you may! There are books for all ages! 

Plant Sale!  On Wednesday morning, May 25, the 4th graders (in conjunction with the HCHS life skills students), will be hosting a plant sale at Rose Park.  Please plan to purchase your tomato, pepper, and herb plants there!  The sale will begin at 7:30 and go through mid- to late morning.  All plants are $3 each (cash only please!).  Proceeds will be donated to HCS Unified Sports Teams.  Spread the word!

Our First Week!

 Hello Families!  We made it through our first week of school! We had SO much fun getting to know your students and teaching them some of our routines! In these next couple of weeks I am sure some of our friends will still feel some big emotions as they get used to the routine of coming to school. This is totally normal and we will keep giving lots of hugs and lots of encouragement!  Next week we will keep learning our school routines, and we will take our first field trip! On Wednesday we will get on a bus and head to the High School for our all School convocation. If possible, please drop your child off by 8:20 so we can get to the bus on time.  Things To Know:  Walk-a-thon T-shirt: There is a QR code outside of my room to sign up your student for a walk-a-thon t shirt.  Hello Families!  This week we had fun celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month with Maestra Fernandez's class! Throughout the year we will take a few opportunities to learn from our Spanish Immersion friends about some Latino culture and traditions!  We also went to the library for the first time this week! We talked about how we will let the kids borrow a book this week, and then they can bring it back and get a new one! There is a blue bin on the little table outside of my classroom labeled "library books". You may put your library books in there at any time! There is a limit of 6 books out at one time. If you have 6 out at once I will print out a list of the books you have at your house and send it home with your student so you know which books you're looking for.  Next week we will see you at Post Family Farm on Monday!  Hello Families!  Time is flying! We had lots of fun this week doing some cool experiments like color mixing! We will continue to enjoy our last few days together as we have lots of fun at all our events coming up!  Monday (the 26th): OFF for Memorial Day !  Wednesday (the 28th): Normal Day of Class Thursday (the 29th): Preschool Park Playdate! We will be hopping on a bus at 9 and heading over to Windstrom Park! You are welcome to meet us there and hang out! We will head back to school around 10:15. I am still looking for someone to bring popsicles for our class! Let me know if you'd be willing to bring some for us, either in the morning at drop off or to the park!  Monday (the 2nd): Our Preschool Brunch!
