Week 2

 Hello Families!

We had another fun week of school! We are working on learning each other's names, and learning all the rules of our classroom. 

My Monday/Wednesday friends also got to go on a little adventure to the High School! We sang songs and got to hear about how we are going to be "streams of living water" for each other this year. 

This coming week we will continue to learn about our classroom, and rules, as well as begin to talk about what being a good friend looks like! 


Things to Know: 

No School on Monday! 

September 26 & 27: Post Family Farms Field Trip. We will be going to Post Family Farms! We will meet at the farm at 9 and spend the morning together going on hay rides and picking pumpkins! Please note that we require an adult to attend this field trip with each student. If you are struggling to find an adult to accompany your child, please let me know! The cost is $3 per student (which covers the tour and a donut and cider). 


Notes From Rose Park:

The HC Alumni Cheerleaders have an opportunity PK-5th girls interested in cheer with an upcoming clinic on Saturday, September 17 and at the Homecoming football game on Friday, September 23.  Please register soon to get the early bird rate!  For more information and registration:

 Hello Families!  We made it through our first week of school! We had SO much fun getting to know your students and teaching them some of our routines! In these next couple of weeks I am sure some of our friends will still feel some big emotions as they get used to the routine of coming to school. This is totally normal and we will keep giving lots of hugs and lots of encouragement!  Next week we will keep learning our school routines, and we will take our first field trip! On Wednesday we will get on a bus and head to the High School for our all School convocation.  Hello Families!  Time is flying! We had lots of fun this week doing some cool experiments like color mixing! We will continue to enjoy our last few days together as we have lots of fun at all our events coming up!  Monday (the 26th): OFF for Memorial Day !  Wednesday (the 28th): Normal Day of Class Thursday (the 29th): Preschool Park Playdate! We will be hopping on a bus at 9 and heading over to Windstrom Park! You are welcome to meet us there and hang out! We will head back to school around 10:15. I am still looking for someone to bring popsicles for our class! Let me know if you'd be willing to bring some for us, either in the morning at drop off or to the park!  Monday (the 2nd): Our Preschool Brunch!  Hello Families!  This week we talked about some spring-time things and made the best of our rainy day by reading Cloudy With A Chance of Meatball and talking about what foods we want it to rain!  Next week we will be talking about Tulip Time and some Dutch things like windmills and wooden shoes!  From Rose Park: Library Books:   This week was the last week for students to borrow books from the Rose Park Library.  All student library materials are due by May 9. I sent home a list of all the books that your student has checked out so you can look for them over the weekend! If you need me to reprint your list, let me know! Plant Sale: The annual fourth grade plant sale is coming to Rose Park on May 21 starting at 7:30am.  They will be selling tomatoes, peppers, and a variety of herbs.  All plants will be $3.00 per pot, cash or check only.  Mark your calendars!
