Week 3

 Hello Families!

This week we learned about the color red, the number 1, and circles! We will continue to practice each of those, as well as each others names! Next week we are going to start talking about friends. What it means to be a good friend and how friends act at school!

Things to Know:

School Pictures: Picture day will be September 14&15 (next week Wednesday and Thursday) from 8:15-8:30. When you come to school, you will take your student down to the Library and stay with them while they get their picture taken. Then you will take them back to class to start our day. I will be down by the Library to help show you where to go, while Mrs. Overbeek is in the classroom. This does take 5-10 minutes so please give yourself a little extra time in the morning!

Walk-a-thon: Our preschool Walk-a-thon will be on Thursday, September 29 from 10:15-11. Any of my Monday/Wednesday friends who would like to join us are more then welcome to come during that time! There will be games, bubbles, and popsicles!

Post Family Farms: September 26 & 27:  We will be going to Post Family Farms! We will meet at the farm at 9 and spend the morning together going on hay rides and picking pumpkins! Please note that we require an adult to attend this field trip with each student. If you are struggling to find an adult to accompany your child, please let me know! The cost is $3 per student (which covers the tour and a donut and cider).

Grand Parents Day: Thursday, October 17. Grandparents are welcome to join us from 8:30-8:55 in our classroom to visit and see the place where their grandchild learns. From 9-9:15 we will have an all-preschool program for our grandparents to watch! Any of my Monday/Wednesday friends who would like to come with their grandparents to our classroom and the program are more than welcome to join us!
