Week 4

Hello Families! 

We had a great week talking about our friends at school and how God's heart is happy when we treat our friends well! We will continue to talk about how to be good friends, and we will talk about making good choices and sad choices this coming week. 


Things To Know: 

Library: We went to the Library this week for the first time! We made sure that we talked about how to take care of library books, and that we bring them back to get another one. On Monday and Tuesday I will have a bin out on the table by my door for you to put your library books back. Your student may pick out one book per week. If your student ever has 5 books checked out at once, we will need you to bring some of them back before they can check out any more. 

Post Family Farms (September 26&27) Slip: I sent home the permission form for Post Family Farms this week! Please bring it back next week. You may pay when you bring the slip back, or at the farm! If your student is in enrichment, check their backpacks for the form!

Walk-a-thon: Our preschool Walk-a-thon will be on Thursday, September 29 from 10:15-11. Any of my Monday/Wednesday friends who would like to join us are more then welcome to come during that time! There will be games, bubbles, and popsicles! 

Grand Parents Day: Thursday, October 27. Grandparents are welcome to join us from 8:30-8:55 in our classroom to visit and see the place where their grandchild learns. From 9-9:15 we will have an all-preschool program for our grandparents to watch! Any of my Monday/Wednesday friends who would like to come with their grandparents to our classroom and the program are more than welcome to join us!

Our First Week!

 Hello Families!  We made it through our first week of school! We had SO much fun getting to know your students and teaching them some of our routines! In these next couple of weeks I am sure some of our friends will still feel some big emotions as they get used to the routine of coming to school. This is totally normal and we will keep giving lots of hugs and lots of encouragement!  Next week we will keep learning our school routines, and we will take our first field trip! On Wednesday we will get on a bus and head to the High School for our all School convocation. If possible, please drop your child off by 8:20 so we can get to the bus on time.  Things To Know:  Walk-a-thon T-shirt: There is a QR code outside of my room to sign up your student for a walk-a-thon t shirt.  Hello Families!  Time is flying! We had lots of fun this week doing some cool experiments like color mixing! We will continue to enjoy our last few days together as we have lots of fun at all our events coming up!  Monday (the 26th): OFF for Memorial Day !  Wednesday (the 28th): Normal Day of Class Thursday (the 29th): Preschool Park Playdate! We will be hopping on a bus at 9 and heading over to Windstrom Park! You are welcome to meet us there and hang out! We will head back to school around 10:15. I am still looking for someone to bring popsicles for our class! Let me know if you'd be willing to bring some for us, either in the morning at drop off or to the park!  Monday (the 2nd): Our Preschool Brunch!  Hello Families!  This week we talked about some spring-time things and made the best of our rainy day by reading Cloudy With A Chance of Meatball and talking about what foods we want it to rain!  Next week we will be talking about Tulip Time and some Dutch things like windmills and wooden shoes!  From Rose Park: Library Books:   This week was the last week for students to borrow books from the Rose Park Library.  All student library materials are due by May 9. I sent home a list of all the books that your student has checked out so you can look for them over the weekend! If you need me to reprint your list, let me know! Plant Sale: The annual fourth grade plant sale is coming to Rose Park on May 21 starting at 7:30am.  They will be selling tomatoes, peppers, and a variety of herbs.  All plants will be $3.00 per pot, cash or check only.  Mark your calendars!
