Week 5

 Hello Families!

This week we talked about how we make God's heart happy by making good choices. We will continue to talk about good choices vs. sad choices the week after next. Next week we have Post Family Farms and the walk-a-thon, which will take up most of our time :)


Things to Know:

Post Family Farms: Monday and Tuesday I will meet you at Post Family Farms! Please arrive between 9-9:10. Our tour leaves at 9:15, and it's difficult to find us if you're late. If you have any questions in the morning feel free to text or call me! My number is (616)834-2514. If you haven't paid yet, please bring your money to the farm! Enrichment Friends: You may come back to school between 11:15-11:30. If you would like to order hot lunch, let me know in the morning so I can put your order in! 

Walk-a-thon: Next week Thursday is our walk-a-thon! Monday/Wednesday friends you are welcome to join us from 10:15-11! There will be games and popsicles! 

Library Books: When you bring back your library books you may place them in the bin on my table at any time! Mrs. Overbeek and I will make sure that they get back to the library!

Our First Week!

 Hello Families!  We made it through our first week of school! We had SO much fun getting to know your students and teaching them some of our routines! In these next couple of weeks I am sure some of our friends will still feel some big emotions as they get used to the routine of coming to school. This is totally normal and we will keep giving lots of hugs and lots of encouragement!  Next week we will keep learning our school routines, and we will take our first field trip! On Wednesday we will get on a bus and head to the High School for our all School convocation. If possible, please drop your child off by 8:20 so we can get to the bus on time.  Things To Know:  Walk-a-thon T-shirt: There is a QR code outside of my room to sign up your student for a walk-a-thon t shirt.  Hello Families!  This week we had fun celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month with Maestra Fernandez's class! Throughout the year we will take a few opportunities to learn from our Spanish Immersion friends about some Latino culture and traditions!  We also went to the library for the first time this week! We talked about how we will let the kids borrow a book this week, and then they can bring it back and get a new one! There is a blue bin on the little table outside of my classroom labeled "library books". You may put your library books in there at any time! There is a limit of 6 books out at one time. If you have 6 out at once I will print out a list of the books you have at your house and send it home with your student so you know which books you're looking for.  Next week we will see you at Post Family Farm on Monday!  Hello Families!  Time is flying! We had lots of fun this week doing some cool experiments like color mixing! We will continue to enjoy our last few days together as we have lots of fun at all our events coming up!  Monday (the 26th): OFF for Memorial Day !  Wednesday (the 28th): Normal Day of Class Thursday (the 29th): Preschool Park Playdate! We will be hopping on a bus at 9 and heading over to Windstrom Park! You are welcome to meet us there and hang out! We will head back to school around 10:15. I am still looking for someone to bring popsicles for our class! Let me know if you'd be willing to bring some for us, either in the morning at drop off or to the park!  Monday (the 2nd): Our Preschool Brunch!
