Week 25 & 26

 Hello Families!

This week we worked hard on starting to learn how to make the letters in our name! We also started talking a little bit about spring! Next week we will be starting our Creative Curriculum Ball Study! We will be looking at different kinds of balls, what we can do with them, how they are made, and lot's of other questions! We will be in this study until Spring Break! 


Things to Know:

Monday: I will be gone on Monday morning. Mrs. Overbeek will be here for me! If you have a student who might do well with a heads up about the change, feel free to let them know before Monday! I will be back for class on Tuesday! 

Spring Program: March 23 will be our Rose Park Spring Program! It will be at Christ Memorial at 6:30. More information will be coming out as we get closer!

Our First Week!

 Hello Families!  We made it through our first week of school! We had SO much fun getting to know your students and teaching them some of our routines! In these next couple of weeks I am sure some of our friends will still feel some big emotions as they get used to the routine of coming to school. This is totally normal and we will keep giving lots of hugs and lots of encouragement!  Next week we will keep learning our school routines, and we will take our first field trip! On Wednesday we will get on a bus and head to the High School for our all School convocation. If possible, please drop your child off by 8:20 so we can get to the bus on time.  Things To Know:  Walk-a-thon T-shirt: There is a QR code outside of my room to sign up your student for a walk-a-thon t shirt.  Hello Families!  Time is flying! We had lots of fun this week doing some cool experiments like color mixing! We will continue to enjoy our last few days together as we have lots of fun at all our events coming up!  Monday (the 26th): OFF for Memorial Day !  Wednesday (the 28th): Normal Day of Class Thursday (the 29th): Preschool Park Playdate! We will be hopping on a bus at 9 and heading over to Windstrom Park! You are welcome to meet us there and hang out! We will head back to school around 10:15. I am still looking for someone to bring popsicles for our class! Let me know if you'd be willing to bring some for us, either in the morning at drop off or to the park!  Monday (the 2nd): Our Preschool Brunch!  Hello Families!  This week we talked about some spring-time things and made the best of our rainy day by reading Cloudy With A Chance of Meatball and talking about what foods we want it to rain!  Next week we will be talking about Tulip Time and some Dutch things like windmills and wooden shoes!  From Rose Park: Library Books:   This week was the last week for students to borrow books from the Rose Park Library.  All student library materials are due by May 9. I sent home a list of all the books that your student has checked out so you can look for them over the weekend! If you need me to reprint your list, let me know! Plant Sale: The annual fourth grade plant sale is coming to Rose Park on May 21 starting at 7:30am.  They will be selling tomatoes, peppers, and a variety of herbs.  All plants will be $3.00 per pot, cash or check only.  Mark your calendars!
