Week 31

 Hello Families!

We had fun getting back into our school routines and starting to talk about the weather! Over the next few weeks we will keep talking about the weather, depending on what the weather is that day! 


Things to Know: 

Monday/Tuesday NEXT WEEK (the 17th and 18th): We will have another PJ Day! Your student may bring one small stuffy or blanket to class! We will be watching a weather video! 


End of the Year Dates: 

May 9 (Tuesday): 3's Brunch: This is a chance for us to celebrate our year together as a 3's grade! We will be celebrating a little earlier than normal this year, because I want to make sure that I can actually be there :) There will be more details to follow! Monday/Wednesday friends, you are more than welcome to join us if you are able! We would love to have you there! 

May 12: All Library books are due back to the Library! 

May 25 (Tuesday): Preschool Play Day at Winstrom Park: All of our Rose Park Preschool friends will be heading to Winstrom Park for the morning for our last field trip of the year! Again, my Monday/Wednesday friends you are more than welcome to meet us there and play for the morning! 

May 31 & June 1: Last Day of School: We will be celebrating our last day of school! It is crazy to me that we are close enough to the end to even be talking about it! We will be having popsicles and having a fun last day all together :) There will be more details coming later!

 Hello Families!  We made it through our first week of school! We had SO much fun getting to know your students and teaching them some of our routines! In these next couple of weeks I am sure some of our friends will still feel some big emotions as they get used to the routine of coming to school. This is totally normal and we will keep giving lots of hugs and lots of encouragement!  Next week we will keep learning our school routines, and we will take our first field trip! On Wednesday we will get on a bus and head to the High School for our all School convocation. If possible, please drop your child off by 8:20 so we can get to the bus on time.  Things To Know:  Walk-a-thon T-shirt: There is a QR code outside of my room to sign up your student for a walk-a-thon t shirt.  Hello Families!  Time is flying! We had lots of fun this week doing some cool experiments like color mixing! We will continue to enjoy our last few days together as we have lots of fun at all our events coming up!  Monday (the 26th): OFF for Memorial Day !  Wednesday (the 28th): Normal Day of Class Thursday (the 29th): Preschool Park Playdate! We will be hopping on a bus at 9 and heading over to Windstrom Park! You are welcome to meet us there and hang out! We will head back to school around 10:15. I am still looking for someone to bring popsicles for our class! Let me know if you'd be willing to bring some for us, either in the morning at drop off or to the park!  Monday (the 2nd): Our Preschool Brunch!  Hello Families!  This week we talked about some spring-time things and made the best of our rainy day by reading Cloudy With A Chance of Meatball and talking about what foods we want it to rain!  Next week we will be talking about Tulip Time and some Dutch things like windmills and wooden shoes!  From Rose Park: Library Books:   This week was the last week for students to borrow books from the Rose Park Library.  All student library materials are due by May 9. I sent home a list of all the books that your student has checked out so you can look for them over the weekend! If you need me to reprint your list, let me know! Plant Sale: The annual fourth grade plant sale is coming to Rose Park on May 21 starting at 7:30am.  They will be selling tomatoes, peppers, and a variety of herbs.  All plants will be $3.00 per pot, cash or check only.  Mark your calendars!
