Hello Families!

We had a great week talking about balls and what we know about them! Next week we will look at how they move! We will also have a little party on Thursday! If you could have your student dress like someone who uses a ball for work.

Some Examples:

- Athlete: soccer ball, baseball, football...
- Chef: Cheese balls, oranges, matzo balls
- Princess: Wears pearls
- Construction Worker: Wrecking Ball
- Vet/Doctor: Cotton balls

This does not have to be extensive by any means! A simple sports shirt is just fine! If you need help or ideas please let me know! 


Things to Know:

If you are going to leave early for Spring Break, please let me know! This helps our office workers hugely!  

Spring Break: Spring Break is March 29-April 5! We will be back in class on April 8!

Rose Park (rescheduled) Family Festival: The Fall Family Festival has been rescheduled for Thursday, April 18 from 5:30-7. If you had registered for this fun family gathering in the Fall, your registration automatically transferred to the Spring. If you haven’t registered and would like to attend with your family, cost is $10 per family and you can contact Jennifer Neumann @ jsneumann12@gmail.com

BOOK FAIR COMING SOON! Dear Parents and Families: Get ready! New books to encourage your student's love for reading are coming! Here's what you need to know about our upcoming Book Fair: Dates: April 24-26 from 11 am - 4 p.m. at the Intersection in Rose Park!

  • Every dollar you spend will benefit our school library directly! This is our only fundraiser to add new books to the library. Last year our library gained 300 new books because of this fundraiser! 

  • You can sign up for Book Fair eWallet on April 3 or later—a convenient digital payment account, so your child can shop the Fair cash-free. Grandparents, friends, and others can contribute to the eWallet to help build your home library. To sign up, link to the Book Fair Homepage and scroll to the bottom of the page.  Sign up begins April 3.

 Hello Families!  This week we had fun celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month with Maestra Fernandez's class! Throughout the year we will take a few opportunities to learn from our Spanish Immersion friends about some Latino culture and traditions!  We also went to the library for the first time this week! We talked about how we will let the kids borrow a book this week, and then they can bring it back and get a new one! There is a blue bin on the little table outside of my classroom labeled "library books". You may put your library books in there at any time! There is a limit of 6 books out at one time. If you have 6 out at once I will print out a list of the books you have at your house and send it home with your student so you know which books you're looking for.  Next week we will see you at Post Family Farm on Monday!  Hello Families!  Time is flying! We had lots of fun this week doing some cool experiments like color mixing! We will continue to enjoy our last few days together as we have lots of fun at all our events coming up!  Monday (the 26th): OFF for Memorial Day !  Wednesday (the 28th): Normal Day of Class Thursday (the 29th): Preschool Park Playdate! We will be hopping on a bus at 9 and heading over to Windstrom Park! You are welcome to meet us there and hang out! We will head back to school around 10:15. I am still looking for someone to bring popsicles for our class! Let me know if you'd be willing to bring some for us, either in the morning at drop off or to the park!  Monday (the 2nd): Our Preschool Brunch!  Hello Families!  This week we talked about some spring-time things and made the best of our rainy day by reading Cloudy With A Chance of Meatball and talking about what foods we want it to rain!  Next week we will be talking about Tulip Time and some Dutch things like windmills and wooden shoes!  From Rose Park: Library Books:   This week was the last week for students to borrow books from the Rose Park Library.  All student library materials are due by May 9. I sent home a list of all the books that your student has checked out so you can look for them over the weekend! If you need me to reprint your list, let me know! Plant Sale: The annual fourth grade plant sale is coming to Rose Park on May 21 starting at 7:30am.  They will be selling tomatoes, peppers, and a variety of herbs.  All plants will be $3.00 per pot, cash or check only.  Mark your calendars!
