Christmas!

 Hello Families!

We had a very fun week celebrating Christmas! We loved the piñata on Wednesday and decorating our own Christmas trees yesterday! We also read a story about Humphrey the camel, who gave a special gift to baby Jesus

THANK YOU so much for your kind gifts and generosity. We love teaching your children and are so grateful for our jobs. We have loved getting to know each of your students and your family. We are looking forward to the rest of our year with all of your sweet kids :)

I hope you all have a wonderful Christmas break, full of love and celebrations of our Saviors birth!

Merry Christmas!

Things to Know:

Critter Barn Pass: I handed each of you a pass to the Critter Barn for the month of December (Afternoon friends- it's in your child's backpack)! Feel free to go and see the ornaments we made to help decorate the sheep pen!

Email: On Monday I sent out an email about the month of January and what conferences will look like this year! If you didn't see/receive that email, please let me know! It has important information in it!

Christmas Break: We are off now until January 3! Our first day back in class will be January 6! See you then!

From Rose Park:

If you have neighbors, friends and/or family who might be curious to discover Holland Christian, please share this information with them as we have an upcoming information night for preschool and kindergarten, or feel free to simply share the image below:

Holland Christian Discovery Night: Explore and create with your child as you discover more about Holland Christian's preschool and kindergarten programs! Meet the teachers and staff, ask all the questions about the 25-26 school year and watch as your child(ren)'s super incredible curiosities come to life! Since we prepare individually for each family visiting our Discovery Nights at Rose Park and South Side, an RSVP is required. RSVP online for our Admissions Events.

Gadgets for Christmas

Gadgets for Christmas:

Just in case a child receives a smart device or personal tech with connectivity, we want to remind you of our policy to uphold healthy learning spaces throughout HC to the best of our ability.

Personal Technology: Personal Technology is not necessary in a school setting and disrupts the learning environment. Personal Technology includes, but is not limited to, the following:

  • Cell Phones

  • Smartwatches

  • Headphones or Earbuds

  • Personal Laptops

  • MP3-Players

  • Etc. (i.e. Any non-school issued personal technology)

If parents need to communicate with their student, they can send their student an email or call the office and get a note from the office.  Personal Technology items are not allowed to be used or visible during the time a student enters school until the final bell rings. If a student needs to use their phone, they must receive direct permission from a staff person to do so.
