Week 37

 Hello Families! 

I can't believe we only have 1 full week of school left! We have lots of fun things left before summer! 


Upcoming Dates:

May 26: Memorial Day: No School! 

May 29: Preschool Park Playdate: All of Rose Park Preschool will be going to play at Windstrom Park! You will drop off your students like normal, then all the students will get on buses and go to Windstrom from 9:15-10:30. Parents are more than welcome to join us at the park! This is a great opportunity to meet the parents of your students friends if you don't know them and arrange some summer play dates if you're interested! **If you are willing to bring popsicles for us to the park, let me know! 

June 2: 3's Brunch: We are having a 3's Preschool Brunch! This is a time for us to come together and celebrate another fantastic year! Our brunch will be from 10:15-11:15. We would love parents to join us if possible! This is another chance to get to know other students parents and plan play dates for the summer! Here is the link to sign up for food:

From Rose Park: 

The annual fourth grade plant sale is coming to Rose Park on Thursday, May 22 (we had previously communicated the 21st, which is a day early - so sorry!) starting at 7:30am.  They will be selling tomatoes, peppers, and a variety of herbs.  All plants will be $3.00 per pot, cash or check only.  Mark your calendars!

 Hello Families!  This week we had fun celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month with Maestra Fernandez's class! Throughout the year we will take a few opportunities to learn from our Spanish Immersion friends about some Latino culture and traditions!  We also went to the library for the first time this week! We talked about how we will let the kids borrow a book this week, and then they can bring it back and get a new one! There is a blue bin on the little table outside of my classroom labeled "library books". You may put your library books in there at any time! There is a limit of 6 books out at one time. If you have 6 out at once I will print out a list of the books you have at your house and send it home with your student so you know which books you're looking for.  Next week we will see you at Post Family Farm on Monday!  Hello Families!  Time is flying! We had lots of fun this week doing some cool experiments like color mixing! We will continue to enjoy our last few days together as we have lots of fun at all our events coming up!  Monday (the 26th): OFF for Memorial Day !  Wednesday (the 28th): Normal Day of Class Thursday (the 29th): Preschool Park Playdate! We will be hopping on a bus at 9 and heading over to Windstrom Park! You are welcome to meet us there and hang out! We will head back to school around 10:15. I am still looking for someone to bring popsicles for our class! Let me know if you'd be willing to bring some for us, either in the morning at drop off or to the park!  Monday (the 2nd): Our Preschool Brunch!  Hello Families!  This week we talked about some spring-time things and made the best of our rainy day by reading Cloudy With A Chance of Meatball and talking about what foods we want it to rain!  Next week we will be talking about Tulip Time and some Dutch things like windmills and wooden shoes!  From Rose Park: Library Books:   This week was the last week for students to borrow books from the Rose Park Library.  All student library materials are due by May 9. I sent home a list of all the books that your student has checked out so you can look for them over the weekend! If you need me to reprint your list, let me know!
