Week 3

Hello Families! 

We had a short but sweet week this week! We are getting in our groove and getting the hang of school! This we had our first Bible lesson, where we learned God's word is a treat, we had our first preschool praise and worship  and we visited the library for the first time. 

 

On Monday, I will send home a permission slip for our Post Family Farms field trip (September 22). You will need to fill this out and give it back with $6 by Monday, the 15th. Remember, an adult will need to accompany your student on the trip! 

Next week is also picture day on Wednesday (the 10th)! Remember, you will bring your student inside through Door D and put their stuff in their locker like normal. Then you will bring them down to the library and help them take their picture. Then bring them back to our classroom for drop off. If you want to change them out of "nice" picture clothes before bringing them back to our room, feel free! 


From Rose Park: 

  • Caring for the Rose Park Ranch: Do you love animals? Do your kids come home talking about loving their days in the barn at school? If you and your family would be interested in caring for our ranch on the weekends would you send an e-mail to Ms. Roskamp at kroskamp@hollandchristian.org. We are going to set up training this Fall to get more families involved in our weekend barn chores!

  • Rose Park Fall Fest is coming up on September 25 from 5:30-7pm. This is an incredibly fun community event, Please sign your family up here! 

  • Grandparents Day is coming up on October 2, we would love to bless our Grandparents with some treats, if you are able would you sign up to provide something HERE.

  • 10th Annual Homecoming Event is coming soon!

    Friday, September 26th from 5-6:30 pm

    Game Kickoff is 7:00 pm


    It's that time of year again - time for community and fun, time for HOMECOMING! Join us Friday, September 26 at the HCHS Stadium for a delicious dinner from 6-6:30. Children's inflatables will be open from 5- 6:30pm as well, and the varsity football game against Ottawa Hills High School begins at 7pm.

 Hello Families!  We made it through our first week of school! We had SO much fun getting to know your students and teaching them some of our routines! In these next couple of weeks I am sure some of our friends will still feel some big emotions as they get used to the routine of coming to school. This is totally normal and we will keep giving lots of hugs and lots of encouragement!  Next week we will keep learning our school routines, and we will take our first field trip! On Wednesday we will get on a bus and head to the High School for our all School convocation.  Hello Families!  Time is flying! We had lots of fun this week doing some cool experiments like color mixing! We will continue to enjoy our last few days together as we have lots of fun at all our events coming up!  Monday (the 26th): OFF for Memorial Day !  Wednesday (the 28th): Normal Day of Class Thursday (the 29th): Preschool Park Playdate! We will be hopping on a bus at 9 and heading over to Windstrom Park! You are welcome to meet us there and hang out! We will head back to school around 10:15. I am still looking for someone to bring popsicles for our class! Let me know if you'd be willing to bring some for us, either in the morning at drop off or to the park!  Monday (the 2nd): Our Preschool Brunch!  Hello Families!  This week we talked about some spring-time things and made the best of our rainy day by reading Cloudy With A Chance of Meatball and talking about what foods we want it to rain!  Next week we will be talking about Tulip Time and some Dutch things like windmills and wooden shoes!  From Rose Park: Library Books:   This week was the last week for students to borrow books from the Rose Park Library.  All student library materials are due by May 9. I sent home a list of all the books that your student has checked out so you can look for them over the weekend! If you need me to reprint your list, let me know! Plant Sale: The annual fourth grade plant sale is coming to Rose Park on May 21 starting at 7:30am.  They will be selling tomatoes, peppers, and a variety of herbs.  All plants will be $3.00 per pot, cash or check only.  Mark your calendars!
