Week 17

 Hello Families! 

This week we started learning all about Christmas! We made some sweaters, decorated some Christmas lights and made our own Christmas trees! 

Next week we will keep learning about Christmas! We also work on some more letters and the number 4! 


Upcoming Dates: 

Christmas Party: December 17. On the Wednesday before break we will have our class Christmas party! We will sing some Christmas songs, and play some Christmas games and decorate our own trees! Feel free to dress your child in their festive Christmas clothes if you have them, but no pressure if you don't! 

PJ Day: December 18. December 18 will be our PJ Day! This will also be our "backup" Christmas party day in case of a snow day. They are welcome to wear jammies, and they are welcome to bring a blanket or a stuffed animals (please bring a stuffed animal small enough to fit in their lockers) with them to class! 

Christmas Break: December 22-January 2


Things to Know: 

Snow Clothes: Please make sure that you are sending boots, snow pants, coat, hat, and mittens/gloves when there is snow on the ground!

Rose Park Christmas Spirit Week:

    12/15: Christmas Head Gear (antlers, hats, headbands...)

    12/17: Red and Green Day

    12/18: Christmas Socks

 Hello Families!  We made it through our first week of school! We had SO much fun getting to know your students and teaching them some of our routines! In these next couple of weeks I am sure some of our friends will still feel some big emotions as they get used to the routine of coming to school. This is totally normal and we will keep giving lots of hugs and lots of encouragement!  Next week we will keep learning our school routines, and we will take our first field trip! On Wednesday we will get on a bus and head to the High School for our all School convocation.  Hello Families!  Time is flying! We had lots of fun this week doing some cool experiments like color mixing! We will continue to enjoy our last few days together as we have lots of fun at all our events coming up!  Monday (the 26th): OFF for Memorial Day !  Wednesday (the 28th): Normal Day of Class Thursday (the 29th): Preschool Park Playdate! We will be hopping on a bus at 9 and heading over to Windstrom Park! You are welcome to meet us there and hang out! We will head back to school around 10:15. I am still looking for someone to bring popsicles for our class! Let me know if you'd be willing to bring some for us, either in the morning at drop off or to the park!  Monday (the 2nd): Our Preschool Brunch!  Hello Families!  This week we talked about some spring-time things and made the best of our rainy day by reading Cloudy With A Chance of Meatball and talking about what foods we want it to rain!  Next week we will be talking about Tulip Time and some Dutch things like windmills and wooden shoes!  From Rose Park: Library Books:   This week was the last week for students to borrow books from the Rose Park Library.  All student library materials are due by May 9. I sent home a list of all the books that your student has checked out so you can look for them over the weekend! If you need me to reprint your list, let me know! Plant Sale: The annual fourth grade plant sale is coming to Rose Park on May 21 starting at 7:30am.  They will be selling tomatoes, peppers, and a variety of herbs.  All plants will be $3.00 per pot, cash or check only.  Mark your calendars!
