Hello Families!

It was so fun to come back to school and see everyones smiling faces! We had a great week learning and adjusting back to school! We loved hearing about all the fun things you did during break!

Next week we will work on some counting and fine motor skills, as well as learn about Jesus and how he liked to teach people and tell stories!

Things to Know:

Absence Monday: I will not be in school on Monday, because I will be traveling home. Mrs. Simkins will be here! I told the students on Thursday and they are very excited for her!

Conferences: Conferences will be the week of January 26. Next week I will send out a signup genius with dates and times that you can choose from. Conferences are not required, but are a great opportunity to connect! We will go over your student's progress report and talk about your options for next year! If you have any questions before conferences, let me know!

Upcoming Dates:

  • January 19: No School

  • February 13 & 16: No School

From Rose Park:

Discovery Night at Rose Park: Do you or any of your friends or family have a prospective preschooler or kindergartener? Are you or someone you know looking into options for the 26-27 school year? We’ll be having our Discovery Night next week Thursday, January 15 from 6-7pm, and we’d love to have you come and explore Rose Park’s preschool and kindergarten programs! Since we prepare individually for each family visiting this Discovery Night, we would so appreciate your RSVP for Discovery Night. If you are unable to make it to Discovery Night, you are still welcome to visit Holland Christian Schools in person and see things in action for yourself. Feel free to schedule a campus tour through by filling out our Inquiry Form. Enrollment for the 26-27 will begin school year begins February 1, 2026.

We made name snowmen!

Working on shapes, colors and counting

Cutting out squares

We used our squares to make snowflakes! We talked about how every snowflake is unique so we each made a snowflake that was unique!

Practicing our letters

We also practiced our names

We missed playing with each other over break!

We were all excited to play in the snow!

Mr. Russ shared a story with us during chapel to help us learn about being Image Reflectors (which is our discipleship practice for the month of January)

We LOVE playing on "the big hill" during recess

We also love finding ice chunks

Jasmine's birthday was over Christmas break so we got to celebrate her on Monday!
