Week 23

Hello Families! 

It was so much fun to be back in our routine and be together again! This week we had so much fun learning about the number 5, and talking about the Good Samaritan. We talked about how we are supposed to love the people around and be great friends to them! 

Next week we will start something new! For the rest of the year we will start doing studies. We will explore topics as a class, let the students ask questions and investigate the things they are curious about! We will start by studying balls! This will include any kind of ball (soccer ball, cheese ball, wrecking ball...). 


Upcoming Dates: 

Valentines Party: We will have a valentines party on February 12. We will do a valentines exchange during our party. There are 18 friends in our class :) Your valentines do not have to be fancy at all! They can be simple pieces of paper with their name on it! 

Library Books: We have quite a few friends with a few overdue books. Please take a look around your house to try and find any that may be floating around. If you would like a list of books your student has checked out, let me know!

From Rose Park:

Check your spam or junk mail! - we have heard from a few people in the Rose Park office that they have had e-mails from school go straight to their spam/junk mail. If you notice you’re missing things you typically receive check out your spam to see if your missing messages may be there!

 Hello Families!  We made it through our first week of school! We had SO much fun getting to know your students and teaching them some of our routines! In these next couple of weeks I am sure some of our friends will still feel some big emotions as they get used to the routine of coming to school. This is totally normal and we will keep giving lots of hugs and lots of encouragement!  Next week we will keep learning our school routines, and we will take our first field trip! On Wednesday we will get on a bus and head to the High School for our all School convocation.  Hello Families!  Time is flying! We had lots of fun this week doing some cool experiments like color mixing! We will continue to enjoy our last few days together as we have lots of fun at all our events coming up!  Monday (the 26th): OFF for Memorial Day !  Wednesday (the 28th): Normal Day of Class Thursday (the 29th): Preschool Park Playdate! We will be hopping on a bus at 9 and heading over to Windstrom Park! You are welcome to meet us there and hang out! We will head back to school around 10:15. I am still looking for someone to bring popsicles for our class! Let me know if you'd be willing to bring some for us, either in the morning at drop off or to the park!  Monday (the 2nd): Our Preschool Brunch!  Hello Families!  This week we talked about some spring-time things and made the best of our rainy day by reading Cloudy With A Chance of Meatball and talking about what foods we want it to rain!  Next week we will be talking about Tulip Time and some Dutch things like windmills and wooden shoes!  From Rose Park: Library Books:   This week was the last week for students to borrow books from the Rose Park Library.  All student library materials are due by May 9. I sent home a list of all the books that your student has checked out so you can look for them over the weekend! If you need me to reprint your list, let me know! Plant Sale: The annual fourth grade plant sale is coming to Rose Park on May 21 starting at 7:30am.  They will be selling tomatoes, peppers, and a variety of herbs.  All plants will be $3.00 per pot, cash or check only.  Mark your calendars!
