Hey Families! Walk-a-Thon week was a success! We had so much fun playing games and eating popsicles! Thank you to everyone who had a hand in it! Whether that was being a part of the planning, setting up games, or donating money, I truly appreciate all the time and effort you all took to give back to our school. So thank you all so so much! We also had our first tornado drill this week (only for my Monday/Wednesday friends). It was a little scary for a few of my friends, but it was a great opportunity to talk about a new way to stay safe at school! Next week is a BUSY week!  Please don't forget to go to POST FAMILY FARMS on Monday and Tuesday!!!!! DO NOT GO TO SCHOOL!   I will not be at school if you show up there! Also, if you still owe me money for the field trip please bring it on your day :) I can't wait to have a fun morning of exploring and donuts! *We will be outside all morning so please dress appropriately fo...

Week 5

Hello Families! What a fun week! We talked a lot about making good choices at school and about making friends! Which is why your student should have come home with a book of their friends at school. If you didn't see one come home, let me know and we will make sure you get one! We read the book Little Blue, Little Yellow and learned about how yellow and blue make green. We also did a project where each student found a friend. One friend painted their hand yellow, and the other friend painted their hand blue, then we high-fived each other and made green hand prints on paper! They are hanging up in the hall, make sure to find your student's print and ask them about their new friend! Next week we are going to do a little review of everything we've learned about so far! We're reviewing the creation story, our letters A and B, and our school rules! We also have the Walk-a-Thon on Monday and Thursday! It will be so much fun to hang out with the other pres...

Hello Families! It was another week of introducing some more new things! As I'm sure most of you saw in your child's backpack, we had our first library time! Each week we will go to the library, read a story, and then give each student the opportunity to pick out a book. I sent all the books home in a bag in their backpack, so they have a place they know to put that particular book, to bring it back to school. The check out period for our library is 2 weeks, but if you would feel more comfortable having your child bring their book back every week, that is perfectly fine! This week in the library we will talk about how to properly take care of books. You will see a flier in each of your students book bags that talks about having clean hands, turning the pages carefully... etc. Feel free to keep this flier in their bag so they always have a reminder to be gentle with our libraries books!  This week we also introduced placemats with their name, picture, and hand prints on i...
